National University Sports Federation of Iran officially started its work on 2005, and its statue was passed by Iranian Parliament and council of Ministers. The federation is the one and only federation that is under the cover of FISU (International University Sports Federation) in Iran and its goal is to develop university sports from any aspect which is possible. Federation Objectives: A
1-1Promoting Students empowerment through sports and making them healthy and cheerful
2-2Strengthening feelings of friendship and understanding among students all over the country
3-3Creating international links between Iranian students and students of other countries
4-4Demonstrating the capabilities and talents of Iranian students to all nations in order to gaining honors and increasing self-esteem
5-4Promoting and disseminating the objectives of International University Sports Federation (FISU) and Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) among academic community
Current president of the federation is Dr. Mohammad Hossein Alizadeh. He is also President of Football Academy of Iran
